Mum's novelty for summer 2022 was a solid domestic fire bowl designed and made in Finland. This is a high quality product which lasts all year round in the yard, garden, on the shore. The material is 100% recycled steel and it beautifully patinates in use. Material used is recycled: the lid parts of Cor-ten steel tanks used in the metal industry have been used to create this simple and minimalist firebowl. Diameter 700mm and height 290mm, weight about 18 kg. Also size diameter 900mm available on special request. Kindly be aware these bowls are made of recycled "bowls" from large ship industry. In summer, you can grill by the smoke and enjoy the play of a live fire in the autumn and winter. The essence of the bowl is that it patinates and rusts beautifully in the rain and in use, even it arrives at your door in stainless steel. The bowl made at the metal workshop in Finland lasts and serves for years and can be easily moved from one place to another. Available in diameter 700mmm height 290mm. Weight about 18kg. Special sizes on special order, as are these basic sizes. Bowls are in stock now.

Mum's is grateful and happy for this co-operation with skilled Finnish people. This is our first ever product made 100% in FInland with using traditional metal working techniques. You may also purchase a grill grate as an additional product. Suitable for size 700mm and made in FInland.

MUM's

Mum's was born in South Africa in 2006, when Finnish Outi, an artist, and mum herself, collaborated with 15 African women. They made sculptures for an exhibition in Finland, all weaved by hand, designed by Outi, empowering women who worked from home. All women were mothers, so the project was named MUM's.

Later, it became the name for a sustainable brand "Mum's Good with Goods". Over the years a tiny art project has slightly developed into a sustainable design company, combining designers with sustainable production. Mum's has got production in four developing countries India, South Africa, Cambodia, and Bolivia. Everything is handmade as far as possible, people work from home, and save travel costs to operate. Materials are local either natural or recycled, and each Mum's product is signed by the artisan who made it.

The size selections available on the website are examples of the most demanded sizes based on the typical Scandinavian living room sizes.
